Did you know that Seasol is a Launceston based company?
In the very beginning, Seasol used bulk kelp that had washed ashore on King Island, an island situated off the north west coast of Tasmania, to produce their plant health tonic and soil conditioner. Local farmers and commercial growers in the area were the first to see an increase in both the quality and growth of their crops. Initially this was the target market for the company, but in the mid 1990’s they decided to venture into the backyards of home gardeners which proved to be a success. The product quickly became the top selling liquid garden treatment in Australia. Since this time, Seasol has expanded its range and continued to be a leader in the market however its roots remain firmly planted from its beginnings in Tasmania.
