First Time Investors

This is a step by step guide to understanding our process for first time investors. This is a guide only - you may not need all the steps you see below, or you may have several questions and your process to purchasing an investment property may take longer than the steps below.

However, we are here to assist you in reaching your potential for wealth through property investment so here are the steps we typically take...

Initial Contact

Whether you phone or email KEY2, a consultant will contact you by phone to have a brief discussion to understand more about your current situation and your needs. In this initial phone contact we will answer any questions you have and most likely ask you questions around:

  • Your background in property ownership (family home and any investments)
  • Income details
  • Mortgage information (if you currently have a mortgage or mortgage facility)
  • Any property preferences you may have (would you prefer to own residential or commercial investment properties)

The next step from here is to arrange a face to face meeting with you to discuss your goals and objectives for investing in property. This meeting can take place at your office, our office or we will come to your home.

First Meeting

In our first meeting we will:

  • Discuss your goals and objectives for investing in property - we need to know what your ideal outcome is so we can provide the best advice for YOU. Some people are primarily focused on long-term wealth creation for retirement, others want immediate tax minimisation. Whatever your goal is we will help you to reach it. We may even show you how to achieve goals you have not even thought of!
  • We will advise you on the range of options for property investment and recommend the BEST option for you - given your goals and your financial situation.
  • Once we both agree a strategy we then agree a path forward

At this point it is likely your KEY2 consultant and you have some homework to do. We may need to provide information about a property or we may need to source the particular sort of property you are after.

Typically most of our clients have learned a large amount about the investment options available to them and have a bit of decision making to do. Some people find the perfect property in this meeting and sign up. Whatever the situation for YOU we will most likely agree the "next steps" and both have some work to do.

Your KEY2 consultant can also refer you onto a range of professional independent advisors such as solicitors, mortgage brokers and accountants.

However, if you already have established relationships with these professionals we are more than happy to work with your existing team.

Whilst some companies offer these services in-house, usually for a fee, we believe it is ideal for you to work with a range of professionals and advisors that you have an established and trusted relationship with. With any property transaction you need to be 100% certain the purchase of the property is the right decision for you.

Second Meeting

A second meeting may take place on site to view the property or site that best suits your investment criteria. Your KEY2 consultant can meet with you at the site and take you through the property.

If your property investment needs are met, we then take you through the purchasing process and let you sit back and relax - knowing you are well on your way to generating great wealth through property.
